I admit I haven't watched the latest episode but I totally relate and get what you're drawing out here. I grew up in a culture in which mothers are considered nothing short of saints and that's no way healthy to either children or mothers. That's something I enjoy about the series. Just as you pointed out. 👍

Yes! I do love how Evil paints a messy portrait of motherhood + mothers who have an identity apart from parenthood and how their conflicted feelings towards their children isn't a point of criticism or judgement. It's a lot of empathy and a grounded look! Recently loving their discussions on money (how to afford one more bedroom when four daughters share 1 and they all use one toilet) too!
